My Testimony
From a young age, I felt a deep fascination with childbirth and the profound transformation it brings. In college, I chose a scientific path, earning my doctorate in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Kansas in 2019. During the six years of doctoral training, however, I sensed God gently redirecting my heart. Though I didn’t yet understand His plan, I felt called to patience—to trust His timing.

After completing my degree, I married my incredible husband, moved to Colorado, and began working in the pharmaceutical industry. Yet even as my career progressed, I continued to pray, asking God to reveal how I was meant to serve others. I knew, deep within my soul, that I was created for more.

In 2020, we became pregnant with our first son. At 12 weeks, we learned he had a severe birth defect that would require extensive medical intervention for survival. Four weeks later, during a visit with specialists, we received the devastating news that his heart had stopped. Our world was shattered. I was induced and endured a traumatic birth experience marked by a lack of compassionate care. This loss is a sacred part of my testimony.

In the months that followed, something unexpected happened: a fire was ignited within me for childbirth—not just the physiology, but the experience itself. When I became pregnant again with our second son, I immersed myself in childbirth literature and trained as a birth doula through DONA International. In the midst of grief, God had answered my prayers, revealing my calling in the most unexpected way.

Our son Grant was born six weeks early, and his birth was redemptive, powerful, and beautiful. I immediately wanted every mother to experience the strength and transformation I felt. Grant spent a month in the NICU but ultimately thrived. That season gave me firsthand insight into breastfeeding challenges, NICU life, and the complexities of postpartum recovery while shuttling between home and hospital.

Our next son, Jack, brought new lessons. At 37 weeks, he unexpectedly turned breech, teaching me how to navigate the medical system, change providers, and advocate fiercely for myself. Jack was born vaginal breech in an extremely precipitous labor—an experience that further deepened my respect for the power of informed, supported birth.

Next came our daughter, Lily. She was a planned homebirth but arrived unexpectedly in the hospital after I sought care for dehydration from a stomach virus. Labor began quickly, and she was born before we could leave. While I grieved the loss of my envisioned homebirth, I still experienced the undeniable power of natural birth. Lily’s arrival taught me how to find strength and peace when birth unfolds differently than planned. During my pregnancy with her, I also became certified as a childbirth educator through Birth Boot Camp in 2025.

If you’re still here, thank you for taking the time to read my story. My deepest desire is for every birthing mother to recognize the incredible power within her and to experience birth as the transformative, empowering journey it was always meant to be. Through every joy and every heartbreak, I have learned this truth: God is always working—even in our darkest moments.

My family
These are my people! My husband, Jason, our sons Grant and Jack, our daughter Lily, and our dog, Bentley. We love adventure and feel most alive exploring the great outdoors—especially when we’re in the mountains. I love weightlifting, creating with my hands, diving into a good book, and spending time outside. But most of all, I treasure any moment we get to spend together as a family. Our home and hearts are centered on faith—we love Jesus and strive to live in a way that honors Him in all we do.
My Vision
Childbirth is a powerful rite of passage—one that has the ability to shape you for a lifetime. I believe deeply that you hold the power to create a birth experience that is both beautiful and transformative.
Through evidence-based childbirth education, I help families build a strong foundation of knowledge, confidence, and preparation. As a doula, my role is to provide steady support—creating a space where you feel safe, deeply cared for, and truly heard—while advocating for your preferences every step of the way.
My goal is for you to enter birth feeling empowered, informed, and supported, so you can meet this moment with strength and trust in yourself.
